I moved to Salt Lake in 1979 from Iran to attend Highland High School, and have lived here most of my life. I earned my bachelors degree from University of Utah, and I have lived in Sandy with my wife and our kids since 2005.  For much of my professional life I have worked in healthcare as an administrator.  I have been the CEO and founder of several healthcare companies in Arizona and Utah including Arizona’s premier psychiatric hospital.  I am currently the CEO of Altium Health, which specializes in Addictions Medicine and Psychiatry.
I love building bridges between communities. I am active in the Native American community throughout the state and serve on several community initiatives. During its annual Gala this year, the Jewish community in Salt Lake celebrated me and my family for our contributions to the Salt Lake area. My family has started and manages a two-acre garden (Esther’s Garden) and all of its produce is delivered to those in need in our community. I am on the board of the Alliance House, which offers life-skills and housing services to those in our community struggling with mental health issues.

I am a passionate advocate for issues that impact people and the environment.

Issues I’m passionate about include:

  • Sustainable population and business growth

  • Healthcare accessibility and affordability

  • High quality public education

  • Air quality, as a health and economic issue

  • Transparency and accountability of elected officials

  • Protecting Utah’s national parks.

I am a passionate advocate for issues that impact people and the environment.
