Katie Lynn Adams-Anderton originates from Hermitage, Pennsylvania, but currently lives in Utah County. Being raised in a blue-collar, Italian-American family, Katie saw the benefits of the Democratic party fighting to protect the rights of immigrants and union workers. Katie got her start in politics during her freshman year in high school, working for Congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper.

Katie is the right fit for the Utah Democratic Party Secretary position due to her experience as the Secretary of the Young Democrats of Mercer County and the Events Director of the Young Democrats of Utah. As a prior paralegal and a current Vice President of Compliance, Katie has developed unparalleled organization skills demonstrated through her proven track record of getting things done. These traits will prove invaluable when performing the Secretary duties such as being the keeper of meeting minutes, maintaining an organized filing system, and staying up-to-date with County Democratic Party officers.

Finally, as a VP of Compliance, Katie has been an active liaison between her company and Federal Government Officials. She meets regularly with legislators in Utah and Washington, D.C., to discuss legislation that would affect her company’s industry. This experience will be crucial as a liaison to the Lieutenant Governor.
